ready for real?

So, if you’ve been on the hunt for a therapist, you’ve probably read all the typical lines about creating a warm, caring space where you can be yourself and become who you’re meant to be—no judgment, blah blah blah.

Of course, Here to There Counseling (HTC) provides that, but we’re also ready to roll up our sleeves and get 100% real with you. We’ll be honest and probably tell you things you already know but don’t want to admit—things your friends, family, or even other therapists might tiptoe around. We’re here to (gently) point out the elephant in the room because we want to get to the root of the issue. After all, it’s hard to grow with an elephant sitting on your chest.

who we serve
  • Adults

  • Little Ones (as in kids… kids love our therapist Kayla and she has a 6th sense with them)

  • the deeply empathetic

  • those who are always told “stop being so sensitive”

  • individuals who feel invisible

  • those who are tired of being the one to maintain connections or make plans

  • those that don’t fit into any box or know which boxes they fit in

what we offer...

We take a down-to-earth approach, using a mix of therapies that fit who you are. A lot of our work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—that’s just a fancy way of saying we help you look at things differently so you can feel and act better. We’re also big on mindfulness, helping you stay present and grounded in life’s everyday moments.

Megan brings her skill in Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help process past experiences quickly and effectively. Kayla makes things fun and meaningful for the kiddos with art and play therapy. And Jess? She’s great with couples, but also loves working one-on-one.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of traditional talk therapy that helps you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve your emotional well-being.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

A form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies but shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly--usually within 1-5 sessions.

Children's Art & play Therapy

A therapeutic approach that uses creative activities like drawing, painting, and play to help kids express their emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills in a safe and engaging way.

what we treat...

If you’ve browsed Psychology Today or checked out other clinicians’ websites, you’ve probably seen the usual—everyone treats depression, anxiety, PTSD, and all the other trendy buzzwords. We treat those too. But let’s be real—you’re so much more than just a mental health diagnosis. You’re a whole, unique, wonderful person, and that deserves more than just a label.

Fun fact: did you know that insurance requires therapists to diagnose you after just 45-120 minutes of knowing you? Yeah, it goes on your permanent record. Ridiculous, right? But hey, we’ve got to play the game to get your services covered. Sure, there are things within a diagnosis that can be helpful for treatment, but we believe there’s so much more to it than that. Your treatment plan should be tailored just for you, not just your anxiety. So, your plan won’t look like Suzy’s, and Suzy’s won’t look like Jessie’s.

Anxiety has been a severe issue of mine for a lot of years. I started to benefit from ART therapy after just one session! Looking forward to see how far I can go to become completely anxiety free with the help of Megan!
